Assam Public Service Commission has announced two job notifications for the hiring of 10 Senior Information & Public Relations Officers and Junior Information & Public Relations Officers in the Information, Public Relations, Printing & Stationery Department of Assam. APSC hiring 2023:
1. Senior Information & Public Relations Officer
No of vacancy: 4 vacancy
Vacancies by category:
- Unreserved (UR): 3 positions
- Other Backward Classes/More Other Backward Classes (OBC/MOBC): 1 position
Pay Scale: Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 1,10,000 with a Grade Pay of Rs.13,900
Educational Qualification:
- A graduate in Science/Arts/Commerce from a recognized university. Professional/Technical degrees are also acceptable.
- A degree/diploma in Journalism or Mass Communication from a UGC-recognized institute, or at least five years of journalism experience in a responsible role at a Newspaper/News/Public Relations Organization/Government Public Relations Department.
- Proficient in English.
- Knowledge of Assamese or any other regional language or local language of the state.
- Proficiency in Computer Application. Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months of certified computer proficiency from a government-recognized institute.
2. Junior Information & Public Relations Officer

Vacancies by category:
- Unreserved (UR): 4 positions
- Scheduled Tribe Plains (STP): 1 position
- Scheduled Tribe Hills (STH): 1 position
Pay Scale: Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 1,10,000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 12,700
Educational Qualification:
- A graduate in Science/Arts/Commerce from a recognized university. Professional/Technical degrees are also acceptable.

Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 21 years old and not exceed 38 years of age as of 01/01/2023.
Age Relaxation: the following age relaxations are applicable based on the category.

OBC/MOBC category: 3 years
